As an AFTRS graduate and queer, neurodivergent, award-winning writer and director, Jo-Anne brings bold stories to life on both the big and small screen.

 

Named “Young Filmmaker of the Year” at Cockatoo Island Film Festival and one of Screen Queensland's HOTSHOTS in 2024, Jo-Anne’s work has played on Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes, Hallmark, SONY-Great American Channel, ABC, SBS and has screened at film festivals across Australia and around the world, including GBiennale21, MIFF, CinefestOz, Byron Bay, Gold Coast Film Fest and in competition at the Academy-Accredited Flickerfest.

 

Her latest feature films, ONE PERFECT MATCH, WHEN LOVE SPRINGS and DESIGNING CHRISTMAS recently shot in Brisbane starring Merritt Patterson (Ravenswood, The Royals), Joshua Sasse (Ataturk, Love Is In The Air), Rhiannon Fish (The 100, Royal in Paradise), James O’Hollaron (Superstore, Bold & The Beautiful), Susie Abromeit and Liam McIntyre (Spartacus, Justice League) respectively, with WHEN LOVE SPRINGS now streaming on PRIME Video.

 

Her debut feature film ZELOS is available on iTunes. Her second feature film PAPER CHAMPIONS streams exclusively on NETFLIX starring John Tui (The Hobbit, Fast & Furious, Solo: A Star Wars Story), Gary Sweet (The Pacific, House Husbands) and Genevieve Morris (Ride Like A Girl, Bloom).

 

Jo-Anne's latest docuseries, MISS INK, was funded by Screen Australia and is set to air this year alongside the multiple series and feature film projects Jo-Anne currently has in development.
